Im after a show piece for my 5gal.
I'd like platygyra or alvepora, but I don't think my lights will support them. I'd also love some euphyllia, but the sweepers worry me. I only have a 9W compact fluorescent 50/50 10k/actinic, but I have candy canes and cynarina growing well and mushrooms growing like crazy so something needing similar lighting needs would be great.
I don't mind starting with a frag and letting it grow out :) I also don't mind faster growing corals that will need fragging quickly.
Chalices, acans and zoas are not for me though.
Can anyone suggest something? :)

I love the goniopora, especially the red ones.
The only ones my LFS can get are collected from the ocean though. And I don't know if I want to risk one unless it's dirt cheap. I was thinking alvepora as they seem to have a higher success rate and look fairly similar.
We don't get much captive grown stuff around here. Unfortunately Australia has a really bad coral trade and what is available is very limited. All the good stuff gets exported to larger markets overseas.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I will definitely keep it in mind! :)
