growing under led for 8 months

I'll play along. The table in the center of my old setup was a lime green hyacinthus. The base stalk was thicker than my wrist. I had to remove it from the tank because it grew so big it was touching the front and back of the aquarium and blocking 1/3 of the tank. When I transported it to my LFS, I placed it in a bucket and it was about 3 inches larger all the way around than the opening of the bucket. It made a perfect holder for it during the drive. The owner fragged it for months.

Thank you so much! I dont have a thread but i will be upgrading to a 180 next month.. If all goes well! It will be an in-wall tank in my base ment.. My tank is crowded and i want these corals i have now ( minus the mushrooms and few majanos) . I will try to be as detailed as possible. never have done this ( document it)..

No build thread. That setup was very basic and sort of a result of dumb luck. The owner of my LFS was amazed at the sps I could grow with little effort. There were no power heads and I didn't do water changes for about 4-5 years. I ran a Deltec PF601 reactor, a small skimmer(Red Sea Berlin), Mag 12 return, 18W UV, 2 x 250W Radium and 2 x 96W PC. That's it. Nothing fancy. Below are a few top down shots of various corals in that tank, used courtesy of Matthew Garbarino from Toadpool.com.

Everyones corals/tanks look amazing! I just acquired these two pieces for my 120. The pictures are of after I cut them from the bases that were attached to live rock. Their in QT right now and should be ready for moving into the new system in a couple more weeks!
