I started opening the windows this past week in the mornings and wow has the pH been boosted. I already have an outside airline to the skimmer and an erv in the basement, but nothing does high pH like opening the windows. I recently bought a Co2 meter and it's never really above 500 in the basement normally (outside air is about 400), but fresh air makes all the difference. Alk is about 8.0 tested daily, and hasn't budged. Kalk plus calcium reactor plus 24x7 refugium included.

Absolutely! Here is one from mine with the windows open. My PH runs decent normally but when the windows are open it raises even more.

Here in the UK, windows open during the day but temp drops too much at night so they are closed which causes very big swings in pH. C02 during the day is between 475 - 600 and at night 1000 - 1200

I need to recalibrate my pH probe, as right now it alternates between 7.9 and 8.05.

The Real pH benefits are from dosing kalk slurry, 1 part daily additive to provide calcium and alkalinity will majorly boosting pH. Co2 scrubber? Open windows??? Just dose kalk slurry, its also cheaper! My lows are 8.19 and high is 8.34

Used to have my tank in the bedroom. Best thing I ever did was moving it to a separate room that would have the windows open 24/7. Coral health and growth is the best I've had since. Airline to the skimmer with outside air did not do anything better, that I could observe.
