I noticed you have air lifters for your dosing, how are you controlling them?

@JSB - nice setup. I tired something similar with my RKE setup, but didn't route the wires as nicely.

Thanks. I have a 60g cube, so my stand has about a 24x24x18 internal dimension with a 15g sump. Only by doing serious wire management in there, could I get a sump, CA Reactor, BP Reactor, Carbon/GFO reactor, skimmer, 3g top off jug, and all of the controller and pump gear under the hood. That was simply a necessity. However, it does make maintenance a bit easier.

Very nice! I really like the look of the schedule 80. Is it weird that I enjoy seeing the plumbing and wiring of tanks almost as much as the tanks themselves?

i am the same, i enjoy looking at the plumbing, sometimes fall asleep with the cabinets open while looking.

As much as I enjoy the symbiotic relationships of the coral, fish and other inhabitants of the reef tank, the sheer beauty of a reef display and the chemistry... The electrical and plumbing... or engineering is probably my favorite part... it allows me to use a lot of may talents to make and maintain something so serene. (note: not an engineer)

I am still working on mine tonight... I get home from work and I put in about 5 to 6 hours straight on this project and its ******* the wife off. I seriously put too many redundancies in for my own good.

I love it!!! cant wait to see!!

Thank you for the encouragement! I actually need as much as I can get. It's nothing crazy. It's just jam packed into my stand's side as neatly as I could possibly do. When I get home... it's game on.

For some odd reason, wifey doesn't understand why I need my aquarium to be wireless and the ability to control 10 different colors at once using my cell phone. Psssh. What does she know?

tagging along . . my wife just noticed the power strips (3 in total) supporting my reef (which is 3 years old).

I also need some ideas in hiding the wires.

Kinda like an "out of sight, out of mind" solution to appease the wife. LOL:angel:

Thats how I got away with who knows how much $$ I've spent on this set up... I just got the axe on "Fish Stuff" after bringing home a seasons greetings frag this afternoon... How do I tell her I still have a doser coming from Hong Kong... I guess it's easier to ask forgiveness then permission

Are you Clark Griswald lol?

Who me?? I've been called that before

Oh well they will get over it. Maybe not mine left. Now i can buy whatever i want. lol

Great Thread! I'm in the process of cleaning up my electrical system and I am taking notes.

Be carefull and don't get shocked. lol

My mess.... Luckily not much more then 2 heaters, main lights on timer, moon lights on time a powerhead and a aquaclear AC30, the light colored plug is a power strip that goes to the second heater and ac30 on the other side of the tank.

With time, that will eventually look like what mine did before I made myself do something about it :D
