My qt tank with my few remaining fish and another 50 gal tub full of rock and coral is all I have after the accident!

nice how long before the brown went away?
Started with CaribSea Life Rock, Live Sand, bottle of Dr. Tim's, and Algae Barn pods with their Ocean Magic phytoplankton. I dose 20mils of Ocean Magic phytoplankton everyday. No brown diatoms, no algae. Have 2 tangs, 2 wrasses, a Potters Angels, and 2 clowns in there right now. This is the second tank set up following this and I never saw any diatoms or algae in my last tank either. **What I do setting up my tanks works for me and has been very stable. It may or may not work for you!

I did all that too minus the rock, I went with marco rock but yeah my brown started a few days ago and it's hideous lol. Can't wait till it's done!

People on here are going to disagree with this but I really believe in starting your pod colony and dosing phytoplankton about 3 or 4 days after starting your tank. Getting live phytoplankton in your tank I think helps quicken the cycle and helps to get you tank established quicker. And the pods well they are the bedrock of your clean up crew so the more kinds you can add early and keep fed on phyto the better.

Well prove that you're still in the hobby and show us your latest tank photo! I know, I know, show us yours first right? Ok I will but only after I can get 100 photos here!

This was from March when the tank was only about 2 months old. Don't expect much more now...LOL!
