Here's my 120, I have two bio wheels, two Reef octopus skimmers and two Hot magnums with Hydor rotating heads. I perform weekly maitenance including 10% water change with Red Sea pro salt. No dosing or additives.

Also 3 turbo snails, turban snail, electric blue hermit, blue leg hermit, 2 scarlet leg hermits, 2 ring cowries, tuxedo urchin, orange lip conch

- 12 (!) rbta, finger leather, gsp, xenia, kenya tree, candy cane, neon hammer, tyree toadstool, frogspawn, various zoas, purple gorgonian, SPS (pink birdsnest, pink lemonade, cali tort, green slimer, forest fire digi, rainbow monti, jedi mind trick monti, bonsai, sapphire acro)

I have a very simple regime. I do a 15 gal water change once a month. (I don't use rodi water - haven't had problems with our Vancouver water)

I still use buckets & add top off water by hand once a day. This was a very modest-budget build using all 2nd hand equipment, so tank was bought from a freshwater hobbyist. The only new purchase were the LED lights at $299.

I guess my philosophy (admittedly partly do to budget) is KISS.

After saying I wouldn't have SPS coral, I've since decided they are pretty awesome after all. So far, seeing good growth/colour. So I guess I'd better google dosing and start that going

It is 110 gallons, hang on Skilter, large cannister filter, I do a 15 gallon water change every week. I just does with a 2 part additive by Bright well and add Magnesium twice a week. The fish I have are:
Flame Angel
Kole Tang
Yellow wrasse
Neon Dottyback
Green Chromis x4

Still want to build a big tank with a big sump and all kinds of equipment lol but I'm an apprentice with a 2 year old son and a mortgage and girlfriend in collage sooo I'm poor.

-8 fish, including mated pair of snowflake clowns (just started spawning a few weeks ago. 2nd spawn was last weekend!), 2 blue green chromis, 1 Midas Blenny, 1 coral beauty, 1 diamond goby, and 1 sixline Wrasse.
-15 corals, including 4 SPS, 4 LPS, and 7 softies and leathers.
I clean my filters and do a 10% water change weekly and religiously [emoji16]

I was tempted to join in but I am "almost" sumpless so doesn't fit the criteria.

Looking at the replies, it is proven that ones can have a nice reef tank without the all the conventional equipment. Great job!

I got an amazing deal on a wet dry filter aka sump.. shun me if you must lol spent this weekend putting it together and getting it running.

That's tricky what are I using for overflow. Not a siphon right?
