Here's my ATO container. It's a tempered glass vase from Living Spaces. It holds 12 gallons. I use a Smart ATO sensor go pull the water into the fuge of the DT.

I needed something that looked like it would fit inconspicuously in the entry room.

I went with an Eshoops 5 gallon container with a float switch included which is directly hooked to my RODI system that in the garage. As far at my ATO, i went with the TUNZE 3155 and it works awesome.

I have a 5G black acrylic one similar to the first pic in the thread. On my 120G it didn't last very long between refills, so I replaced it with a large dog food container. I don't recall exactly but it looks like at least 10G. Cheap too at Marshalls or Ross, someplace like that. The lid seals closed nicely with minimal notches cut out for power cord and tubing.

Lol, me too except mine is a 20g on my 180g dt. Since I have a large peninsula there is no room near it. I also have a 10g under a 45g and a 5g salt bucket next to a 29g.

just a heads up on this container. I seriously doubt it's food safe and will dry rot over time. I had a cheap container that eventually gave up and spilled a lot of water. Never again.

These are my go to for all my builds, they come in a wide range of sizes and shapes from different manufacturers (I've always used this brand) and are approved for food storage. Also SOOO much cheaper than purchasing an ato reservoir from manufacturer. You can also get them in taller thinner shapes to fit in areas a 5g bucket would not and hold twice as much water. The wheels are detachable.

Thanks for the concern but you are incorrect. 100% food safe, it's a higher end dog food container. Been using them for years

This leads to a gravity fed type float valve. Its temporary until Christmas.

I have my sump directly connected to my RO/DI unit so there is no need for a container. The RODI is controlled via my apex with 2 float switches in the sump. The first float switch in sump regulates the water level in the sump via an industrial normally closed electronic solenoid. The second probe is only there for backup and is slightly higher in the sump in case the first one should fail. My fail safe. It texts me if it is ever enabled. I have had a few texts from it in the past where the first float switch was gummed up with calcium or I accidently put a power cable on it during maintenance\and the second float switch had to turn off the solenoid. Works like a charm. Love the Apex. Been running this way for many years.

I tried to get one of those snazzy 5g ato reservoirs, but the price didn't justify the production process.
Im sorry, but it's dumb to pay that much on plastic.
$4 bpa free food container from Walmart...
Works. Just. Fine.

I tried to get a custom lid for my tank too, dude wanted $180... LOL!
So I went to lowes and got a piece of scrap acrylic cut for 2 bucks.

This hobby, and some (most) vendors are greedy af.
Spend your money wisely.
I'm not saying don't spend, but there's a bunch of stuff available to us that's cheaper to retrofit and repurpose; so keep your wits about you.

* also, I need to wrap electrical tape around that container to prevent algae
