Shrimp and crabs

I have a blue legged hermit crab, do you know if it’s safe to house this with shrimp?

Really depends on the type (size) of the shrimp. Too small and anything can eat them.

I haven’t purchased yet I’m considering recommendations? I like the harlequins….

You are aware that the only thing they eat is starfish. Some people keep chocolate chip starfish and amputate arms to feed the shrimp.

I would have thought any of the larger cleaner shrimp varieties (skunk, fire, coral banded, Peppermint) would be ok with a blue legged hermit. The BLH is pretty small.
