Shrimp care and improved molting advise?

Hey folks. I recently got a cleaner shrimp who just had his first molt. I have been dosing kents iodide to help, but he still managed to lose part of his tail during the molt. He seems ok, he ate today and his anttenae are ok, but I'd like to know any other ways to improve my crusteceans molting process. Or is the occasional lose of something small normal? Any help and advise appreciated.

It shouldn't loose tissue if your water pramameters are in check.

All my parameters are normal, no ammonia, nitrites, nitrate is 5, pH is 8.2

Molting is common, especially when first introduced. Did you drip acclimate for 1 hour +? They are sensitive to swings in water pramameters, as are other inverts such as stars....etc.

Yes, I drip acclimated him for about 2 hours before adding him. Ive had him for about two weeks.

My cleaner shrimp has molted about every 15-18 days for the past 10 months like clockwork. He has never lost any tissue in the process. I have not been dosing iodine, but I do daily automated water changes and use Red Sea Coral Pro salt. My occasional ICP water tests have shown 0.022 ppm of iodine.

I always pluck the shedded exoskeleton out of the tank and I'm always amazed at how they can pull themselves out without something getting stuck:

Thats concerning, I really like this guy and dont wanna lose him. I dont havw a test for iodine, but Ive been dosing as recommended and I do weekly 20% water changes with RODI water.
