I lost 2 shrimp a day apart after they molted. My Fire Shrimp is MIA and not in his usual spot, and I found my Cleaner Shrimp this morning being eaten by the Nassarius snails. My parameters are okay and everything else is doing fine. The only thing I can think of is I started to dose food grade H2O2 @ 1ml per 10g again to knock back some algae that was starting on the SB. I dosed a month ago without any deaths, but I don't recall if the shrimp molted during the time I was dosing it, so that might be a factor. In addition to the shrimp I lost one of my Turbo Snails.
I want to replace the shrimp, but I'm afraid of my Wrasse. My Melanarus never bothered with them, but they were in the tank before he was added.

Parameters:
NH3 - 0
NO2 - 0
NO3 - 2.5
PO4 - 0
Alk - 8.2
Ca - 450
Mg - 1290
SG - 1.024
Ph - 8.0
Temp - 78-79

Hello,
I had an issue a while back with shrimp and crabs and found out I had some metals in my water like copper. You could always try a poly-filter to see if it helps. Worked for me.

Did the shrimp come into any direct contact with the h2o2?
I can't say because the lights were out, and I dose in the back corner of the tank next to a PH away from the corals and rocks.

Can't think of anything added to the tank that would leach metals, but I'll throw a media bag of Cuprisorb in the sump later when I get home.
