Shrimp ID

Just picked this guy up from the lfs never seen one that looked like it

they said it was some sort of cleaner shrimp

In the store it was a deeper red, kind of like a fire or blood shrimp but clearly not one of those. Size about 1” and price was $25 although shrimp prices seem all over the place right now

definitely aren't the Cleaner shrimp which all of us know, but don't know that one for sure.
During stress almost all of the shrimps are changing the color

Looks like it could be a variation of a peppermint shrimp.

yeah aren't there a whole bunch of peppermint shrimp variations? that would've been my best guess, but it was pretty colorful for a peppermint

There are but doesn’t mean this isn’t one of them. See attached, that’s pretty colorful.

mmm i had that kind of peppermint in my last tank and this definitely isn't one of those. it had more striped coloration in the store, not the crosshatch type striations that most peppermints seem to have

but i'm definitely thinking it's in the cleaner shrimp group somewhere

not so much me, ID on another site haha. i totally thought it was just some less common peppermint variant

thank you tho! maybe a shipment of them came in or something if DD has them too
