Hi guys,

Shrimp has just molted for a second time, first time I took it out but just wanted to ask in here, should I remove or leave it in>

I usually leave mine. If I see it, it is usually somewhere I cannot reach. It disappears soon enough.

I leave mine. My emerald crab was eating one of the molts. I believe they benefit from the calcium carbonate in the molt, but I could be wrong.

I leave mine in also. My Shrimp and my Hermit both moult every 6 weeks or so. Sometimes the LPS get hold of the moult and eat it, regardless it is pretty much always gone in a week. Seems sensible to leave the Ca and other elements in the tank to be recycled.

Thanks all, seems its a case of preference and no rule of thumb.

Got up this morning and my BTA has decided to eat the moult
