I want to add a yellow watchman goby and his pistol shrimp buddy to my display but I don't know how to QT them first. I don't have the time for TTM method. How else should I go about it?

It's possible that the shrimp can carry parasites so how would I quarantine it? I can't medicate it.

Unfortunately, they will probably need to be separated for the QT period (but will hook back up once both in the DT.) Unless you were wanting to just observe in QT (no meds).

A goby can be treated using copper, CP, Prazipro, etc. But the shrimp needs to be isolated in a fishless environment for 76 days or whenever you notice him molt. Whichever comes first. Tomonts can only encyst to the exoskeleton.

Ok thanks. I don't have them yet. I just wanted to the Quarantine process for the shrimp. How long in qt if he doesn't molt? No meds obviously just observing.

76 days

30 days max

45 days in a fishless environment would protect you from all except the "72 day ich variant". How commonly encountered that variant is I do not know.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
