I have a diamond goby and was thinking of getting him a shrimp to see if they become buddies. I also have a Fire Shrimp but he hangs out in his little spot. I was wondering if I should even bother and what type of shrimp. Anything but a pistol shrimp. Those guys scare me. lol

Diamon goby may or may not pair with shrimp. They are typically on their own. Pistol shrimp scares you? Are you thinking Mantis Shrimp?

No the pistol shrimp. I've seen people post that they lost a lot of fish from them. The power in that claw is pretty amazing.

I could be wrong, but I've personally only heard of gobies forming symbiotic relationships with pistol shrimps. I think a large role in this is that both species burrow.

That's generally in rare rogue occasions generally tiger pistols shrimps or pistol shrimps that don't form goby pairs. If you did want a goby pistol shrimp pair, try watchman gobies and prawn gobies with candy cane pistol shrimps which are to my knowledge the safest

My Goby has decided he doesn't like my feather duster and has covered him with sand. He's still sleeping somewhere so I have to wait until he's out to clean because I don't want to accidentally cover his den. He is a brat. lol
