Quick update!
Got tank 2 cleared up pretty quickly with UV sterilizer.
Totally kicking myself for moving rocks around and adding the new tiles a little premature.
0 alk usage since the changes and feels like I totally set myself back to sq 1.
I'm sure new tiles are soaking up phosphates like crazy. Was a little hazy yesterday so didn't bother testing phosphates.
Feel like its gonna take a bit longer to get things dialed now until these new tiles actually do start getting a little age on them. Shrooms are acting exactly like they do everytime I rush a non cured disc or anything in.
Is what it is I guess!

Not really sure 3 months? Maybe less... got a couple monster mushrooms in here really only thing I lost sor far is three superman mushrooms. Can't keep them alive in anything.

Just so you know your secret is safe with me. I do know these shrooms poop a ton and you had to clean it up to get those shots haha. Are you dosing anything? Man I cant wait until these new tiles settle in. Totally kicking myself right now.
System is very new and fragile and had a hunch id set myself back and sure enough i did!

As far as dosing goes I was using all for reef but someone gave me a bag of kalkwasser so I've been trying it out the last 2 days now. The shrooms love it so far. At 8 dkh now will tune it down if I hit 9. I think kalkwasser is overlooked by alot of people and its super cheap. I have a huge bag and use half a teaspoon every couple days in a gallon of ro water! Thats insanely cheap Its got to be a couple pennies everyday!

Right on. I'm going to switch to kalk when my reef fusion 2 is used up and I don't have a need to dose cal and mag. Right now I'm dosing all for reef because my cal and mag where quickly depleting.
Hows your magnesium levels running for you?
Idk why or how but tank 1 used 80pts of mag in first 10 days of use. 50 pts Cal. I am using a ton of liverock with cal using critters and coraline but man I would of never expected it.
My cal and mad always ran low but never paid any mind considering shroom coral only system but it appears everything else needs it haha

I still use brs magnesium quite often trying to keep my mag levels around 1300 or at least 1250. Ive gone threw nearly a gallon of the magnesium mix. I was using brs three part cal alk and mag (couldn't get afr). Grossly overdosed alk in my 120 didn't loose anything until I figured out how high it was and stopped dosing. Now I use a little all for reef in that tank every day but its hard to get the alk down without losing anything. Gotta do it very slowly. I have so many dosing products its hard to keep track people kept on giving me stuff lol not gonna say no. I have 2 liters of brightwells a&b (stong stuff imo), 1 liter of red sea a,b&c a ton of red sea ab+ and lots of brs dry mix. I probably have enough dosing products to last me 2 years! Still could use more magnesium mix lol.

Pretty crazy how these few stony corals I do have let me know when something is wrong. Magic carpet shroom is same way when things aren't on point as well so im just watching these corals and making adjustments necessary.
Turn my whites down on my led as well..
Something some didn't like about brightness of new tiles, new tank, lower nutrients or maybe all of the above but everyone is getting back on track again.
Its funny I've burnt shrooms up with jist a cpl% higher intensity on a few channels.
Never had an issue erring to lower side of intensity besides maybe a little cupping and walking to find better light.

New look from Wyze Cam spam lol old angle was driving me nuts.
Really is taking everything I have in me to not switch out the v2+ with the hydras. The quality and look to the tanks in comparison is just a whole different level and more of what im after. But cant fix something thats not broken and not willing to risk anymore stress at this point. I am going to take a few shrooms and put them in hydra tank to see how they look. Lfs that I got my recent nfs shrooms runs hydras and quite honestly the lights make them pop on a whole different level. Super impressed.
