Thank you the flow is pretty low over there. I think I’m going to look into larger disc plugs or something don’t want these shrooms blowing away. I thought the middle portion would just stay attached and as the feet grew it would grow on sand.If the flow is pretty low they will grow onto the gravel just fine. If it's enough for them to blow away they may just take off and find a new spot on their own. If you want to keep them in the gravel for sure then I would add some rock or a larger frag disc.
Thank you that makes a lot of sense. I actually just saw 4 days ago one shroom started what I thought to die become 3 shrooms. They all stayed attached to the plug. My problem is I’m running out of room to add big rocks to attach the shrooms to. So it seems my best bet is to find they discs you guys are talking about. Also thank you I got them from someone selling on this forum for a great deal!I never had a shroom hold onto the sand and just stay there. As mentioned, they will move. I tend to put some live rock rubble next to them and let them move onto that. A few places sell discs that lay flat that you can use.
btw - Nice shrooms.
