So a few weeks ago I was at sea splendor ( our LFS ), and was goin through the lr (as I always do ) while my wife gawks at the fish, and I noticed a nicely shaped rock sittin in the corner, and low n behold it had some zoa's,play's and a juvi gbta, at first I thought a majano as one rock from another reefer had bout 3-4 on it, but noticed it was too big to be a majano, so I bought the rock and since I brought it home the zoa's have came in nicely the play's are started opening but the bta is still really shy, tried to feed but its in a little cave in the rock so it basically just goes back into hiding, it has not moved to find a "happy" spot yet.
Lighting is a DIY led setup (43 blue/whites) on 5v typhon controller, Paramus are good, (minor nitrates) but everything else in tank is happy
Any knowledge is appreciated

Here's a pic

Nice find! The BTA will move where it wants to in time. The live rock probably didn't have high lighting, so it needs time to adjust to yours. Also, you might try feeding it a little mysis to see how it reacts.

After they weighed the lr and gave me the price is when we really got a good look, as of right now I'm not sure if the bta has/hasn't taken a turn for the worse, could be expelling waste,****** off or just plain tryin to croak, last nite it was all inside out and really lookin bad, this morn not inside out but really ****** off lookin !
Did a small water change yesterday, gonna check levels today

Cruddy cell pic but here it is !

I hear a lot of how they move around this bta has not moved from this little cave, here's another ? Would a paly that is growin in the cave in plain touching distance have anything to do with irritating the bta ?

So, little update
The bta now has white tentacles, but did accept a silverside head today, is now a little more friendly as we've seen it most the day, more to come

Yeah I feed my bta everyday. Mostly prime reef, shrimp, brine shrimp and clams and his color has been coming back! Thank god! My clowns do not leave the anemone even to eat.

The BTA would kick the paly's hiney, not the other way around. It looks like it is bleaching. What is your water temp? It will retract itself when it has had enough light for the day and look little and withdrawn. How does his mouth look? it is wide and gaping or is it closed tightly?

It's definitely a weird bta lol
It's mouth looks tight and will accept a piece of silverside, but the next day it looks mad !?
I've since changed up rock work due to removing a huge rock that just became an issue for our aqua scape !
Hopefully the way I set the rock will be in its normal state ( that's what it looks like its supposed to be ) white side down
More to come in the next couple days

Sooooooo, I did another round of aquascaping and looked into the hole where the bta was and its gone !
Took out all the rock and can't find it at all ! Hopin it turns up, but I did notice one of my power heads has some stuff on it, not sure if its bta goo, doesn't look like it could get in there, so for now I will have to see if it turns up
