I recently bought a new house and had to move my fish tank. This was around 2 weeks ago. Ever since then my blue throat trigger has been very shy. If I even try to open the lid he swims into his hiding spot and goes catatonic. He hasn't eaten in 4-5 days. When he doesn't eat enough he gets skin pigment problems. They always go away once he eats though. Should I just let him keep doing his thing while he settles in, or should I try to block that hiding spot so maybe he will stay out during feeding time.

That will probably stress him out more. Just keep your routine and he should come around. Another thing is to take some frozen food and put it on a powerhead and then get out of his view. As the food melts he should be able to swim out and eat without being afraid.
