Shy hippo

My hippo is ridiculous rarely comes out, anyone else have experience with a hippo that behaves this way? I feel like she had a traumatic experience in her past and hates people. There’s no aggression towards her in the tank and she’s perfectly healthy.

Par for the course with these. They’re Pretty timid fish and feel comfortable squeezed between rocks in ways that I always think they’re stuck. Over time it’ll come out more. But I have one on month two that swims around until the second I enter the room. Then it’s straight into the rock work.
