I have a question are tank bred Percula clowns small, real shy when introduced to a new tank or any captive bred fish as far as that goes? Thanks. Got this bonded pair yesterday AM and from then one they just hang in the upper rear corner and I can't even tell if they ate today.

I've had mine for months. They hid in the upper left corner of my tank all day every day until I introduced more rockwork and a bubble tip anemone.

My clowns were shy when I first added them, they slowly got comfortable over a month or so period. Now they are like hungry puppies when I walk by the tank.

That's wild mine stayed on the lower right side until I introduced some light then they hightailed it to the upper left rear corner, I did see the male eat some brine but I can see her and have no idea. Gonna have to do an anemone first when I start adding corals and such. Thanks

If this is your first tank I would wait 6 months to a year before adding an anemone. Anemones seem to struggle with new tanks. Also there is no guarantee your clowns will enjoy an anemone. I have several bubble tip anemones and my clowns want nothing to do with them. My clowns do enjoy my duncan but even that took over a year before they showed interest in it. Some clowns seem to want a host right away others may never.

Nems are pretty dificult to keep, they are super picky and can cause some problems if they die. They require a bit of care that young tanks might not be able to provide
