Hey everyone, so I bought a Starry Blenny about a month and a half ago and he seems to be healthy and eating quite a bit, but my question is, is it normal for them to swim away and hide when I walk by? He's coming out during feeding time eating Algae and Mysis Shrimp twice a day, so I can't imagine that he'd be starving. Also Merry Christmas everyone!

Not abnormal.

Standard operating procedures for most Blennies. Both my Starry and Lawnmower are shy and hide when I walk by. However, if I sit down in front of the tank, they swim up and visit me. As soon as I raise my hand to take their picture they're off again.

Yeah mine seems to just be on the shy side I guess, when I'm sitting in front of the tank he peeks his head out and watches me from the little cave he likes.

Good to know! Got this guy this afternoon and seems fine unless I make sudden movements. I was able to sneak some picture though.

I had one that would stalk my hand when I was putting something in the tank. He would move from cover to cover until close enough to get a bite in lol

Ha! thats awesome, I'm practically just giving mine his space and letting him do his thing, if he's happy when I'm not around, so be it.

Mine is pretty shy unless food is involved then as soon as he sees it he swims up to the top poking his little eyes out watching for me to put food in
