Sicce 0.5 tubing size?

I purchased 2 Sicce 0.5's to replace a MightJet in an IM 25 lagoon, but the 1/2" tubing seems to go on the fittings semi-loose.. Do people use plastic hose clamps? Or am I worrying about something I shouldn't be worried about?

On tiny pumps I cinch the tubing with plastic cable ties. That will only work if there is a bit of friction slipping the tubing on though.
