Any experience with the Sicce DC pumps? I’m looking for a return for my new 120g build I like the quality of other Sicce pumps but have read a couple of times where these pumps are loud, these were older posts so maybe the newer pumps are quieter? I am also considering the maxspect jump or the reef octopus varias, can find much on the longevity of the jump pumps tho, looks like they just came out in 17.

I have an SDC 9.0 for my 150 gallon system. It's currently connected to a 1" pipe, tee'd off to two 1" returns, with about 6' of head pressure, and there are no issues. I have it running about 80% right now during my plumbing leak test, and notice a negligible hum. Once I put doors on my stand, and dial back the turnover rate, I would imagine the noise will no longer be audible.

The SDC pumps are great. You can’t beat the 5 year warranty, temperature minoring within the app, etc.

Other more expensive pumps only come with 1 year warranty!

I have one external running 100 percent. Silent as can be. One is internal running my skimmer at 67% silent unless the output hose touches my sump or sump cover then It has a vibration noise but that is only from the hose touching.

I went with a vector over the 6.0

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still questioning if I made the right decision

well I ordered the Sicce, mostly I just got tired of going back and forth between it and the varias, I’m sure they are both quality pumps.

Running great, can’t hear it at all and my tank is 2 foot from my chair right now
