Sicce Pump Question

Hey all,

I just bought a Sicce Silent 1.0 pump (Max Head 5 feet) for water changes (saltwater to aquarium) and the height of my Reefer 250 is 55" tall (just under 5 feet). I have 5 inches of height extra.

Is the pump really going to be enough to get the water into the aquarium or should I get the Sicce 2.0 pump? My LFS does not have the 1.5 in stock.

For water change purposes get a cheap mag drive 7

1.0 would probably be pretty slow if it did pump that high, do you not have a sump to pump into?

I too would probably buy something cheap, maybe a mag, I have a mag 5 that would be plenty fast, as long as you don't mind some noise...

When I buy pumps for something like this, I usually buy something that can be a backup in case of emergency.
