I am looking for a return pump for a new build. I want something with APEX support. Not interested in the Varios.

I have read that the Sicce is noisy and there is some issue with it not restarting after the power goes off. Can anyone with experience confirm?

I currently have a Cor-20 and would like something with a little more power.

More power as in head pressure or GPH?

I’ve ran both and preferred the COR-20, I now use dual Royal Exclusiv and they are silent and much better head pressure at 3/4 size

In a dead quiet room, yes you will hear the SICCE.
I’d still buy it again.
Mine has restarted every power out.
I don’t have an APEX and I don’t use the wifi capabilities with the SICCE.

It is for a ~110 gallon tank (36x30x24). With the sump, the total water volume is ~130. I use the Triton method which calls for 8-10x, so my goal is capability of 1300 gph. Sump is located directly under the tank.

Return plumbing for Cor-20 (1 1/4” pump output)
1 1/4” Flex tubing
2” Rigid PVC
2” Flow meter
UV sterilizer (2”)
2” Tee
Each side of the tee —> 3/4” rigid pvc with 2 90’s leading to 3/4” lockline
