I’ve set up a rimless WB16 for nem/clowns because they aren’t allowed in my mixed reef but the lovely lady of the house wants them and it will give me a place to stash some frags.

It’s not a AIO, and I’m not going the sump route. I’m not even sure I need mechanical filtration with a light load and WCs but let’s say I do…

I have Sicce Tidals for QT and like them a lot, one is running on the new tank now actually, however HOB in general isn’t aesthetically pleasing so that lead to these Sharks.

Anyone have pros/cons? I searched here and Google with not much feedback beyond FW users really liking them.

Well that’s curious; I’m not sure what you mean by intended, nor what the difference would be. It’s listed as universal by Sicce, and most of the retailers designate them for fresh and salt use in the description.

Is there something in the design that would fail in saltwater?

So... no one then?

Suprised, but there must be some reason. PITA to clean around perhaps?
