Which one of these is quieter? Im currently using a jebao DCP 6500 which is silent but for some reason, it doesn't keep my bean animal overflow at a constant level.

Going to try an AC pump this time.

Quieter? Tough call. But why will your DCP6500 not keep your bean animal at a constant level? Are you sure it's the pumps fault? Maybe the durso drain surging?

What do you mean? After I have the overflow level set, over the day, the level in the overflow drops and level in sump goes up. Eventually it starts making noise..

Sounds like something is happening with the drain?
I can't imagine what. If the pump is pushing a constant amount of water, I don't see why my overflow levels should be fluctuating this much.

Just switched to a 1260. Something is definitely off with Jebao as I was running it at 80% and had to open the gate valve with the 1260. Jebao is officially 1720 GPH and Ehiem is 640 GPH.

It is definitely pretty loud though... hopefully it won't drive me crazy. Any chance the noise will get lower over time? It is sitting on 2 silicone mats.
