I recently added 2-sicce voyager 3's in my tank, I have a cracking sound which I believe is from air going through the pumps. It echoes in our living room and makes it sound like our speakers are crackling. I have reduce the flow to see if that would help but still happened. Anyone else experienced this and if so howou over come issue

Hi rjcranor,

The first thing I would recommend looking at is the impellers. You want to remove and reseat the impellers to ensure there isn't anything stuck in there or that there isn't any damage to the magnet. Another thing you might also consider is the distance of the pumps to the water level. You may need to move them a few inches lower if they are positioned close to the water line as this can be bringing water into the pump.

Also, are you using these on a wave timer? The constant on/off can also cause pumps to rattle. This is usually unavoidable, and over time the problem may worsen.

I hope this helps.

The pumps are only about a month old, they are submerged about 6" below surface. They have been making the noise since I put them in my tank.

I do have a clicking noise when they switch, but its coming from my coralife timer. It did the same thing with the power heads I used to have in there. It only cycles every 15 minutes.

I contacted sicce and they seem to think it is the rubber on the impeller, sending new ones I guess. Well see what happens.
