I bought a Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0 to power my 90 gallon reefer. It was nice and quiet for about a week. The last couple of weeks it has started making a grinding noise that seems to be getting worse. I pulled the pump and did a cleaning and inspection. Popped it back in and same problem. I contacted the company and they responded pretty quickly. I explained the problem and waited. A couple days later, I got an email asking if I thought it was from an internal component or an external one. This was last week. I responded internal as if I had to guess the issue, I would say "bearing going bad". I responded within 10 minutes of them emailing me. I didn't hear anything from them in a few days and then got an email that they were going to close my claim ticket. I responded with telling them about the internal problem and had yet to hear back. No response from them in days. I have emailed three times asking them to update me on the claim and have heard nothing back.

It's not like this is a $50 pump. To have these issues in one weeks ownership is unacceptable. Now I'm afraid it's going to seize and I'm going to have to buy a new one to replace it. I don't know how to approach this anymore. I'm losing patience quickly and hate to call a company out, but I think it's time. Any advice? Similar experiences?

I've only had to make one inquiry with Sicce (IOTA setup) and they responded straight away. I'd open a new ticket and see how that goes. I have the same pump; any chance it's the impeller assembly? (you can get spare impellers)
