Sicce Xstream AC powerhead

Anyone have experience with Sicce Xstream AC Powerhead? Im thinking of buying two and put it on a wavemaker timer (like the surfer). Can it handle the on/off every 6 min or so or it will break down quicker? Or not built for that purpose. I also heard propeller breakages

You need to make sure that it can handle being started and stopped. Some of those AC pumps really move some water and are reliable, but they are not made to start and stop at any interval. Some have mechanical stops that turn the impeller around if it starts the wrong way - this can only happen a finite number of times, so even if it is 1000 times, that can get used up in a day or two when used on a wavemaker, but might be two decades of intended use.

The manufacturer will say if they are wavemaker compatible, or not... at least nearly all that I have ever seen has said.
