I've had an anemone for about six weeks now. He has been fine until about a week ago. Normally, he looks like this:

Today, he looks like this:

Any thoughts? About a week ago, a lawnmower blenny that I've had for about six months suddenly disappeared. He liked to hang out around the anemone -- but not too close. He was healthy and eating fine. Then he was gone. That day, it looked like the anemone was starting to close up on himself. We figured the blenny got too close and became dinner. But he has been withering away since then.
Here are my tank parameters:
Amonia -- 0
Nitrite -- 0
Nitrate -- 0
Cu -- 0
KH -- 143.2
phos -- 0
Calcium -- 440
pH -- 8.2
mg -- 1485
Salinity -- 1.025
That is all I can test for. I have had water in this tank for about two months. I transferred everything in my 60 gal -- incl the rock and bacteria-filled canister filter over to my current tank. The tank cycled quickly and there hasn't been any problems so far. This seems to be the first.
Thanks.

Has your coraline on rock faded as well?

Have you been feeding nem?

Was it acclimated to lights?

I understand it's a transfer, but basically it's still a fairly new tank, stability may be an issue

Coraline is on half of my rocks -- those were the transferred ones. The others are still new.
I would feed mysis shrimp in his general area and sometimes he would take it -- sometimes not. About twice a week.
Lights? I don't know how well he was acclimated. He has been in the same tank since day one. I turned off the lights the day I put him in, but they have been on their regular cycle since then. I have Chinese Black box LED lights set to about 50% at max. He has moved around a lot since I first got him. I've had two other anemones in the the past (1990's). They never moved around like he does.

Hmm, well sounds like you are doing what I'd do as feeding, and it had good color so should be able to handle light, but I'm curious why it's moving a lot, looking for something.

Often I see them move a lot when lights are stronger than previous tank, but don't think that's the issue here.

Well, I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Thanks @davocean .
