I just looked in my tank and my blenny was trapped against the over flow, still breathing. I turned off the pumps and he swam down and is hiding. Is there anything I can do for him? Parameters are normal.

Their instincts are to be in super tight places. I've seen them in places I've never thought they'd never get out of....but they do

But it seems you saved it from the water suction

.

My Starry Blenny lays against my Tunze 6105's all the time with no issues. They are over 3000gph, but he is pretty big. The over flow would be allot less suction over a bigger area. What type of blenny are you talking about. How long have you had him?

He's a bicolor. Looks fully grown. Hes eating well. I have had him about a week. Maybe he just likes it up there. When I turn off the pumps he just sits there for a minute then swims down.

I would think he is fine. There really shouldn't be that much suction there. If a fish is getting stuck on overflow then it is truly sick and would need to go to quarantine for some assistance. I think your fish is fine from what you are describing. My blennys always like to go to some suction area for some reason and lie there. I think they like it.

My Tailspot was the same way. I actually had someone (very kindly) make him an acrylic tube to hook to the side of mine.
