I got my Blue Gigantea into my QT system where I can easily feed him. He recovered a lot and got most of his tentacles regrowth. The denuded area still have shorter tentacles as compare to other area, but otherwise doing great. He eats well.

Good to see your blue gig recovering. I still have an original blue gig I got from my buddy Pete back in 2013 that’s gone through the balding over the years. It grows full, I neglect the tank, it goes bald, and takes a long time to recover. Always inflated, I never feed, but the rim is long full size tents and the disk goes bald when water is out of whack, low KH (6) seems to trigger it, gets ticked with KH above 10 too. I haven’t done a water change in my 125 this year yet. It’s sensitive to KH levels and doesn’t regrow it’s tents very fast. Not near as fast as what your blue gig you show recovered. Quick photo for you. Dirty glass, laziness prevails. This gig is the one behind blue chromosome in FTS.

And want to add, out of 7 gigs in there, it’s the only one that goes bald and recovers and goes bald again from KH swings. No others go bald. Go figure. They all seem to have their own little quirks.

Feeding does wonder for anemones, especially carpet for stress and injury recovery, as long as they are healthy otherwise.
I don't mind water change, and do water change regularly to handle the added nutrients.

I agree. I don’t feed mine because I’m out of space! I don’t want mine to grow, but agree food makes them happy, and grow/recover.

Got a slight set back with my Blue Gigantea. The Multi-color just climbed right OVER the blue Gigantea and the foot cover about 75% of the blue and the tentacles open up cover the blue from the light completely. I was going out of town for 1 week so I moved the rock to the sump again and situated the sump light to entice the Multicolor Gigantea to move in the opposite direction, cross my fingers and hope for the best as I leave town. My tank is fully automated and there was no tank sitter. I came back Sunday, both anemones are doing well and separated. The Blue Gigantea regressed a little as expected but seem healthy and ate well on Sunday. I can really see the regression comparing this picture to the picture on my last post above.
I am sure he will be just fine now that he is not cover by a larger anemone. I am not sure how many days he was covered.
BTW, lighting is different. He is lighted by cheap 5500K LED from Home Depot in the sump right now. He seem to like it fine.
