Sick blue tang

so my fish got ich 4 weeks ago and I’ve been treating them and lately my blue tang is doing very bad. He keeps laying on his side not doing anything. Doesn’t swim or eat. He hasn’t ate in 2 days. I did a FW drop the other day because I noticed something that looks like algae is stuck in his gills. I removed it with my finger and put him back into the tank. He started to swim around then the next day laid back down. I took him out and looked at his gills again and it’s vack it looks like something is inside the gills. The fish is losing color fast. What is this inside the gill?

Yes I have with copper.

Hopefully someone else will chime in, but I would use praziquantel or general cure.

Thanks for the info it looks like it’s the algae strips that I feed my fish. When I got the fish there’s slits above the gills and it looks like food is entering the gills from there but not 100% sure
