Hi guys, I have noticed 3 days ago the first symptoms, white dots on whole body of my blue yellow belly damsel on my QT tank
I started dosing Cupramime by Seachem and yesterday I did the second dose

Is this velvet or what else?
The other fishes don’t have any symptoms and are doing well

Should I do a FW dip?

Hope to save it

Yes, that does look like marine ich. A full dose of cupramine for all fish in the system (0.50 ppm) would be required. Typically the dose is 14 days beyond the date you last saw spots on the fish, but 21 days is better. Of course, no invertebrates should be exposed to cupraimine treated water.

2nd dose? You should as jay mentioned be at level .50, not building it up and maintaining that level for at least three weeks and best in a separate quarantine/hospital tank. Monitor copper with a reliable copper test kit such as Hanna brand, not Api
Also monitor ammonia level with a reliable test kit during treatment and would not be a bad idea to add an air stone for added oxygen during treatment
You will also need to leave display tank Fish-Less (Fallow) for at least 6-8 weeks to assure the cysts and trophants have completed their life cycle without a host and have died off

My QT tank is 40lt net volume
I dosed 20 drops Saturday and 20 drops Monday as seachem instructions

This morning I found the damsel and one chromis dead :crying-face:

I already ordered the Hanna checker copper, I absolutely need it for treating fishes

"one" chromis? how many fish do you have the 10 gallon? The tank is too small for even one chromis, not a wonder they are stressed enough to get ick.
