My clown eye looks swollen. Can't get a photo. He's in QT with my potters. They have been in there maybe 30 days. Been through 2 doses of GC. Now in copper 10 days. There is a biofilm on the sides of the tank. Don't want to split them up the potter is just starting to come around but don't want to lose the potters. Suggestions please?

He's staying at the bottom of the tank

Looks like marine popeye, it usually fixes itself. Your clown's eye might get a little worse before it gets better though. Keep the water quality high and keep him well fed (foods with garlic will help the immune system). I've seen it go away in about two-three weeks.

He might need antibiotics, usually I'd say only one eye may be an injury...but I see a patch of white on him as well, is that right? That makes me think it could be bacterial.

The white patch could also be the start of brook [emoji15]

You could try dosing metroplex to address both, it treats brook and has antibiotic properties. If that doesn't cut it alone, you could add in another antibiotic like kanaplex or furan-2.

X2 this is my recommendation as well. Act fast to save the fish and eye!

I thought GC would have taken care of brook. If it is brook can it kill my potters as well?

Should I just go with the triple combo of antibiotics? I have all of them from tail rot on another fish

I think the amount of metronidazole might be different in GC, since it's mixed with Prazi but I'm honestly not 100% on that.

If it was me, I think I would do kanaplex and metroplex to start. It doesn't look too serious yet and the dosing is a little easier for those two.

Being its just one eye, I would try dosing Epsom salt (1 tablespoon per 5 gals) to see if that relieves the swelling.

If you see no improvement after 4-5 days then it's probably time to move on to antibiotics.

I already added antibiotics. Should I put in epsom salt as well? It is questionable if he has a white area on the body as well.

Follow the directions and add again in a couple of days? Any water changes needed or redosing?

Yes, you can mix Epsom salt with abx.

You should re-dose every 48 hours after a 20ish% water change.

And treat for at least 10 days.
