I have posted a thread in general discussion and it was suggested that I do it here. Attached is a picture of my Picasso clownfish. I have had her for 2 weeks and up until Saturday she looked and acted fine. Now she will not eat as of yesterday, water parameters are fine, corals and the other fish are fine. I have Api general cure and was wondering if I could use that and can I put it in my reef tank. Thanks for any responses and apologize if this has been talked about before. Upset about her condition. :(

I would not dose API General Cure in a DT (because of the metronidazole part of it.) I also don't think GC will help with the bump anyway or that it even requires treatment. I would soak the fish's food with vitamin supplements (exs. Selcon, Zoecon, Vita-chem) to boost the immune system to deal with this naturally. It's either a minor infection or Lymphocystis (harmless virus).

agreed with humblefish. Dont put that med in your DT..... add vitamins, wait and watch. Keep up with your water changes also, to help keep the water pristine for her to heal.

i will do that for sure and thank you, she's still hanging in there:)
