I picked up a couple clownfish at the LFS that looked healthy. I noticed immediately after putting them in the QT tank there was white stringy feces on the larger one.

I began a treatment of General Cure and took them through the recommended 4 days (2 doses) before I noticed small to medium white blotches/spots (larger than ick size).

After the 4 days of General Cure, I began treatment of cupramine at 0.5 immediately and soaking food in prazipro & general cure (switch daily).

They have been in the copper for 7 days and have been eating and swimming OK, but lately have been showing some white spots increasing in size. The larger one seems to be lethargic and stuck on the bottom this evening.

Please see the video below and help to diagnose the disease based on the visible symptoms:

I would also like to add the blotchy spot on the left side of the larger fish started out larger and almost like a thick line running vertical -- it was much darker yesterday.

I have the following medications on hand:
  • API General Cure
  • Cupramine
  • Prazipro
  • Ruby Reef Rally

I struggle to see any spots after watching the video 3 times. Have you tested your copper level? Or did you just measure dosage?

I did see the darker spot on the one clown very early on in video.

The spots are only visible on the clear parts of their fins in this video. There are others that are barely visible in person (but these are small).

The copper concentration has been confirmed and remained constant by salifert tests every ~2 days.

Tonight they went through a 5 minute freshwater dip and are currently in a RRR bath for a scheduled 80 minutes @ 4/5 teaspoon per gal.

Just want to be clear. You dosed General Cure. Waited 4 days. Did a 25% water change and then dosed again. For a total of 8 days?

Because they are clowns, the first thought is Brooklynella. Especially with your comments about the blotchy spot that changed. That sounds of symptom of white mucus forming in areas on the fish. And obviously, looking for whitish mucus on a white fish is difficult to say the least. Sometimes it helps to use a flashlight at an angle with the tank lights off.
Here's a link to Humblefish's advisory for Brook. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/brooklynella.247938/#post-2913287

The following process:
  • 1 packet GC (10 gallon)
  • Waited 48 hours...
  • Added 1 packet GC (10 gallon)
  • Waited 48 hours...
  • 50% water change
  • Added 40 drops of cupramine to achieve 0.5 concentration

For General Cure, you only need to dose it once, then wait 5-7 days and dose it once more. The second dose 48 hours later is not needed each time.
