This Duncan has been closed for a few days now, when I took a closer look I saw what looked like BJD. So I did an RX dip and an iodine dip. When I started to blow off the jelly with a baster the head lifted up and this string yellow stuff came out. Does anyone know what it could be?
If you suspect BJD you need to remove and isolate the infected coral so your tank doesn't get fully infected. Frag off diseased head. BJD is caused by unstable parameters causing coral stress so their immune systems fail allowing BJD to invade and take over. Will kill corals in 24 to 48 hours. Ciprofloaxin can be used as a treatment.
