Sick/dying bta

LOCAL reefer... someone in your area will come and take it. I've done this for a few nems now in my area. I nursed them back to health and rehired them.
That’s awesome I’d love for this little guy to live a long and healthy life

I’ll try my best I’m nervous about. Shipping but I’ll try
Nah. No need to ship. There are people in your area for sure willing to make the trip. Just make a new post saying Free BTA and post your state. Let them know what's going on in the post and someone from here will help out. Maybe even return the favor when your tank is ready.

Yes... this ^^^

I can’t take it back to my lfs theyll probably just throw it away knowing them because they don’t want there huge tank with a million fish etc dying so I’ll try my best! are you sure I should put it back in the tank?
An anemone dying is not going to kill all their fish (most likely wouldn’t even kill yours if you got it out in a reasonable amount of time), they probably have stuff dying daily (just the reality of running an LFS and getting stuff shipped in).

This is VERY off topic but since I have a lot of yours attention my Halloween hermit um... legs fell off?

It’s likely molting. But what is going on with that decor?!? It looks like some sort of freshwater hellscape.

I’m just kidding, I just can’t ever wrap my head around why people use fw decorations like those for salt water. Even from a purely aesthetic point of view and not taking into consideration it’s filtration value, rock is cheaper and looks better, in my mind it just doesn’t make any sense.

Yea.. I realize that now lol I’ll stick with rock

If you ever wanted a low maintenance way to rush a tank cycle in the future id recommend skipping chemicals and just borrowing/buying bacteria colonies from an existing tank.

I used quite a significant amount of old porous filter media from a mature tank on mine and never had any problems.

Also, if you have a friend with an already established tank you can leave your dry rock in their sump to seed the rock with bacteria.

Couple weeks old with new dry rock and an anemone
