New reefer here. Received this coral for free a few weeks ago, I believe it’s a Favite. Was dipped before placing in tank, a couple days ago I noticed a white spot, picked up some frags today and had a fresh mix of dip decided to throw this Favite in also, when I discovered a dead polyp, it stunk like sulfur and cr*p when I put it in the dip also. Color seems to be okay, but not much activity when it comes to feeding or anything. Parameters in tank are stable

I would just give it some time.. typically you see the most activity in these after light out, check it with a flashlight and see if it’s feeders or sweepers are out.

it seems like you might have it to high up in tank, they don't like a ton of light or flow. Would say move it lower in tank and out of direct flow. Whats your phosphate and nitrate at? Always have issues with my LPS when mine is either to high or low. Got to get it just right. Also check other parameters as well like calc, alk and salinity

I will check nitrates and phosphates when I I get home tonight. Calc sits at 480, Alk at 10-11, salinity .026. It’s in a 10 gallon nano and water gets changed 20% weekly (I have my own RODI/salt mixing station). I am worried because one of the polyps died and exposed the white skeleton all the way through the bottom of the frag, almost as if it has been eaten or something. The frag has been sitting on the sand bed and I have a 30W light running at like 20% 6 inches above the water.
