Noticed some white spots on my new dottyback..... he hid for a few days in the rocks/sand after I put him in the tank. I’m not sure if he could be scraped up from hiding or if it’s something else. Here’s a video and some still shots of the fish. Kinda hard to get a good shot, but let me know what you think. I did not see these spots when I got him about 2 weeks ago, and all other fish seem to be healthy. 6558A106-17D1-44E8-8A91-39BBD82D267C.png 2EC8C59D-3B91-459F-917F-3E9AF4BC1840.png E9030B22-2DDC-4161-89A6-FF3A5999AD1C.png 9B035707-D839-4130-A6F7-A9A71E7293D3.png C5B9D570-01B9-44F3-9C24-CD9FE5294750.png 3D4224D9-4DA0-4E91-878D-0BE5196E5D9B.png

After carefully looking at my tank I noticed by bubble tip also has white dots... no signs of illness in other fish ....any thoughts? Bubble tip was added the same day as the dottyback :/

Looks like a few scrapes to me.
If otherwise acting normal, I’d just keep a watch.
Any additional changes including rapid type breathing, stops eating, lathargic, would raise my level of concern.

If your referring to ick and velvet, they only affect fish.

That’s comforting to know, thanks. What about the bubble tip? Any diseases they can get with white dots like that?

The fish looks pretty tattered looking. Two things commonly cause that - fighting with another fish (and losing!) or skin flukes. It isn't going to be scrapes from the rocks - dottybacks live their entire lives swimming in and out of rock caves, they don't get injured doing that.

If you decide it is flukes, you can treat the tank with Prazipro (just increase the aeration when you dose it).

While it could be bits of adherent detritus, which should resolve eventually, or maybe mild aberrations in the anemone's structure. The other possibility is your anemone may have white band disease or tumors which is usually caused by stress and poor water conditions. Many corals and anemones get this when their environment is less than favorable.
Assure your parameters are not off especially temp, salinity, Mag, nitrate and Ph.
Moderate light and water flow is favorable for them
