I have a Carpenter’ Wrasse in QT right now that I am running through Hyposalinity. He’s been doing well for a little over a week, then yesterday I noticed signs of something starting to show yup on the top of his head and his dorsal fin. Something white, but not what I’m used to seeing on Tangs. I know wrasses have that thicker mucus coat and don’t always show inch so I’m wondering if this is maybe how it looks with them? Today he has been lieing on the bottom, usually upright but sometimes on his side, always hidden in some crevice that is hard to photograph or ***** his symptoms. He has repositioned to different areas of the tank a few times though. I’m hoping that he’s just feeling crappy and comes out of it. I’m not sure there’s much to be done though given he’s in hypo. I do have a very limited supply of copper power but if he’s not going to make it, he probably won’t last the 6-8 days it takes to bring salinity up before I can dose copper. Any comments from the wrasse qt crowd?
