Hi all, I have a blue tang currently combating ich through garlic soaked food. I first noticed the spots about 4-5 days ago and since then, I have been feeding everyone more, like 2-3 times daily, soaking the food in garlic guard. All the other fish seem OK, everyone is eating, the blue tang seems better and more active since yesterday, spots are fading and it is eating as well. But, the funny thing is, since the first or maybe second day it developed ich, it started going inside a leather sinularia and just lying there as if resting. It would do that for a while every few minutes or so, then swim around again. Today, which is the first day it seems to be doing really better, it still goes to the sinularia, but more like a short visit, not actually laying inside. Has anyone experienced this, a blue tang using a coral as a sick room? OK...I know they are weird and stress prone fish but.....still....

Does he sleep there? I have a baby blue tang I've had for about 3 weeks now. No ich so far thankfully, but he has a little hole in a rock that he always goes to when he is hiding, and he sleeps there also.

Btw, fish don't host, they get hosted. So it's the leather doing the hosting. :D

Hi, thanks! He does not sleep there, just uses it as a sick room. I don't know if he will develop a habit snoozing in there after he gets well!
