Had him about 2 weeks, lately he's hiding in the rocks more than usual. I originally posted this in fish discussion just talking about him fighting his reflection, but pictures I took this morning have him looking pretty rough. Any ideas looking at the pics? Side note he didn't eat for about a week, other than pecking at the rocks, and after buying every herbaviore food at the LFS I found he will only eat sea veggies, or red algae w/garlic.

It could be a nutrition issue. Looks very pale. Do you QT your fish? If so, what is the process?

I didn't quarentine him, the only other tank I used to quarentine my 2 clowns is a 20 gallon and I assumed too small for him and would have stressed him out too bad. I think it began as a nutrition issue, the first day I had him he would peck the rocks, but not take anything I have him. A few days later I bought every food for tangs the LFS had, he eats the red algae w/garlic like a pig but ignores about everything else. I figured seeing the bubble on his tail this morning it was beyond just nutrition now. I took the pics to the store I got him from and they recommended something I think called microbe lift. I'm not at home to say for certain that's what it was called.

Try to get some pics in full white light of you can. Microbe lift is herbal. I’m not a fan personally. It may very well help though.

I can’t tell if we are looking at lympho which could be nutritional as it is a virus. Or if we are looking at some sort of bacterial infection which could also be due to the fact the fish won’t eat any frozen foods. Do you add any vitamins to your food like selcon, zoecon, or vitachem?

Ok I'll see how he looks when I get home and use the brighter light, took these at his sunrise and didn't wanna scare him going full sun immediately. I originally went to the store this morning to get vitachem, but left with the stuff to try.

Couldn't get many pics he's still zooming around, doesn't seem to be lethargic, but on a good note he ate alot of his frozen herbivore food tonight.
