Sick Naso

I just got home to my 10" blonde naso laying on the bottom. Had been eating fine and swimming fine last night. I noticed one eye is slightly Cloudy and there are some marks on his fins that weren't there. Any thoughts on what to or how to medicate? All other fish and corals arw doing fine, haven't added anything to the tank in weeks. I've had her for about 3-4 months.

Did you qt the fish before putting it in your tank? What did you treat it with?

My guess would be velvet if it wasn't qt'd as that can kill without showing symptoms (it's happened to me multiple times before I started to quarantine all my fish). However on tangs you'll typically see velvet on their fins best

If both eyes were cloudy I would say Neobenedenia flukes for sure - the timing is about right, and it causes cloudy eyes and tattered fins. With only one cloudy eye, that makes me a bit less sure. Still, when a fish goes down like this, it likely isn't going to recover on its own, so I would try a 5 minute freshwater dip to check for flukes (they will look like fish scales or sesame seeds in the bottom of the container after the dip.

The light colored spots? I’m not sure what that is. That doesn’t look like typical fright coloration they show on their bodies. I was thinking Neobenedenia, but a crash injury could also do this....

I recently set up my Apex and the alk definitely creeped up. I have started gradually lowering it. Temp is a steady 78°. Fish is breathing fine, fins look pretty good with the exception of a couple of nips from my purple tang since it's been down. He's the largest fish in thw tank, nobody ever messes with him. I thought he may have gotten stuck by my long spine, but there aren't any marks.

Assure your water quality and parameters are good as well as optimum diet:
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
Spirulina brine shrimp
Mysis shrimp
Small plankton
LRS herbivore diet
Formula 2 flake and frozen
Mysis pellets

Add selcon vitamins and garlic extract to the foods

Did the fish come up off the bottom, or is it still laying there? If its back up and swimming, then more likely an injury, if it went down and stayed down, then more likely a parasite issue.
