sick niger trigger help!!

Ive had him about a yr now and 3 weeks ago he quit coming out as much. About 2 weeks ago he went into hiding and havent seen hin till i started moving some live rock. He is now lighter in color but NO spots and he is weak and won't eat..?

Any sign of velvet or ich? Sorry to say but this is exactly what happened to our clown trigger, and he ended up dying.

No sign of either or. . I know it's probably not gunna end well was juat seeing if anybody had any ideas. He has been in qt for 24hrs. Just wanted to know if there is anything i can do..

Live brine shrimp and possibly antibiotics is all I can think of...

Try some really good frozen food. LRS is really good. Use a broad spectrum antibiotic. And try using garlic to entice him to eat. Good luck

As far as antibiotics go, my go-to so far has been furan-2.

Try live food to entice him to eat you can gut load the food with antibiotics. No color is typical of a fish that hasn't been in direct light. You can see this any day of the week by kicking your lights on at say 2 am. Everyone will be ghostly. Don't take that as a sign of trouble right now.

What size tank?
What other fish are in the tank?

Okay I will pick up some live food and some antibiotics to see if that will help. He was in a 110 gallon tank. Now in a 55 gallon qt. Other fish are a black edge eel, salfin tang, copper baneded butterfly emperor snapper. Just add the snapper but the trigger had already been hiding for a week or 2 befor adding him.

Yes i do relize this. . There all now in a 125gal but I'll be upgrading to a bigger tank with in the the year probably a 250. If he gets to big for that then ill have to find him a new home. He's about 2.5in. now.
