Hi,
One of my two juvenile Ocellaris in my 45 gallons started to look sick yesterday morning, swimming at the bottom of the tank and seeming quite lethargic. I didn’t think much of it, because sometimes he likes to “sleep in”, but when I looked at him better I noticed a discolored patch near the tail, and the fins seems to be rotting. The other clown is doing great. Water params for nitrates are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and around 10ppm nitrates.
I thought it could have been flukes (in the past days I did notice some jerk movements) so I gave him a freshwater dip for 8 minutes around 8pm yesterday, but I did not noticed any flukes coming out, and then moved him to a hospital tank, dosed with API general cure. This morning he still looked not well, and I also noticed an almost blueish patch around his belly, on the white part of his skin. I have thought maybe it could be bacterial and so added Kanaplex.
He is still very lethargic, and not eating. Attaching pictures if it may help identifying what’s making him sick.

please let me know if you have an idea of what’s the bug and how to fight it.
Thanks
Alessandro

Antibiotics are very slow acting on fish. Give it the full 10-14 days of treatment. Other antibiotics that work well for fin and tail rot: triple sulfa, NFG powder, Furan2.

Thank you, I'll definitely do that. So i guess it does look like fin rot? Another thing I forgot to mention earlier was white stringy poop, that i was treating with Metroplex and Focus in the food. Poor fella.
