Hello,

First time saltwater tank owner and my first fish in the new tank. Tank has been running since 12/2023 the clownfish were added maybe 2/01 so about 2 weeks ago. The fish were "quarantined" prior to arrival, 3rd party.

They are eating great.

Water from last night;

1.025
dkH - 7.8
Nitrate - 4.4
Phos - 0.05
CA - 350
Mg - 1200

I dosed CA, Mg, and ALK last night to boost the levels. I'm trying to get them stable.

I took about 100 pictures i'll try to get a better one.

Thank you!

This wobbly swimming is often associated with Brooklynella however I do not see signs of such. How strong is your water current?

I have a SICCE 6.0 return on 100% I'm guessing 600GPM (the mega overflow is rated for?) I also have 2 MP40's running normally between 1% and 40% but they were off at the time of the video.

It's 90 gallon 48x18x24 tank

Do you have an ammonia reading?
Are there other animals in the tank, how are they doing?

Jay

just took another round of measurements;

1.025
Ammonia - 0 API
dkH - 7.5 Hanna
Nitrate - 4.3 Hanna
Phos - 0.09 Hanna
CA - 370 RedSea
Mg - 1340 AquaForest

There is nothing in the tank at all aside from I added copepods from Dinkins

A video of both fish;

So - both clowns seem a bit "mopey" and the one has some stringy feces. This is pretty commonly seen and is usually a protozoan issue, often Brooklynella. It can also be from internal protozoans.

This is tough to treat in a display, you could try Ruby Reef Rally Pro, but it doesn't always work.....

Thank you @Jay Hemdal and @vetteguy53081

I have a 20 long I could set up into a QT. I'm guessing it would be best to do a dip of Ruby Reef Pro(acriflavine?) or Formalin then into clean QT and dose Chloroquine Phosphate once (60 mg/gal) or metronidazole every 48 hours for 10-14 days thereafter.

Keep them in the QT for 6 weeks fallow on the DT?

Yes on both. Ruby rally or formalin based - 60 minute aerated Bath then into quarantine
