sick purple tang???

Hello everyone my purple tang recently been getting these grey marks one one side of its body while the other is perfectly fine could anyone help identify the cause and I may need to get rid of it soon because its has outgrown my tank.

Looks like maybe something bacterial and perhaps some HLLE.

Cause may be poor water quality, poor diet...

You mentioned it may be too big for tank, cramped conditions certainly will not help create a healthy environment for animals. It does look like a good size tang.
 
This is a bacterial issue and I assume fin deformation has been like this and not something new?
The white patches signify a bacterial infection and needs to be treated in quarantine with Treatment with a broad-spectrum antibiotic or combining antibiotics for the widest spectrum possible such as Seachem Kanaplex, and Seachem Metroplex which have the potential for providing the best spectrum of antibiotics and do note that metroplex when added to foods is a very tiny amount at .5gm weight or if in water two scoops of included spoon per 10 gals
